Mizutori geta are all handcrafted. Straps are hand nailed, and on some models materials are hand dyed. The lacquering is all applied by hand.

The surface is carefully sculptured to fit the shape of the foot and maximize comfort.

Geta help keep you healthy. The sculptured surface and the straps stimulate the tsubo in the foot. According to the ancient Chinese theory of the body, the functioning of the internal organs is believed to benefit from such stimulation. Mizutori, founded in 1975, is a company of craftsmen and craftswomen located in the traditional Geta producing city of Shizuoka in Japan. Their aim is to spread appreciation of Geta in the world. They persistently look for improvement of quality and further development of their products.
